Hallo and welcome to our website!  My name is Marene Jooste.  I am married and the mother of 2 beautiful boys.  I am also a Kinderkineticist and the founder of Kwanda Kinetics Paediatric Development Centre. It is a privilege to provide you with  more information regarding our centre and welcome you to contact us should you require further details.  Herewith a little more about who we are and where we have started...

As a person, I have always been passionate about learning, educating and serving the broader community of children, families and teachers.  Between 2000 - 2005, I have thus completed the following degrees:

a 3 year degree in Human Movement Science
an Honours Degree specializing in Kinderkinetics
a Masters Degree in Kinderkinetics, specializing in the sensory-motor and neuro-motor development of children

With God’s grace (and very hard work), I graduated all 3 degrees with distinction and was selected as Kinderkineticist of the Year. After my studies, I worked at Botje & Billson Optometrists to help children improve on their functional (binocular) as well as their visual-perceptual skills. Here I was privileged to have furthered my training with regards to eye muscle control and the impact it has on a child’s ability to read, learn and write.

Over the years, I have developed a special interest in children with learning difficulties and developmental delays.  I have thus furthered my studies in Integrated Learning Therapy and became a SNAP (Special Needs Adaptive Program) tutor for autistic children.  I am also a member of the Golden Key International Honour Society and served for 5 years on the board of SAPIK (the South African Professional Institute for Kinderkinetics) as one of 2 vice-presidents.

After gaining practical experience in the health care sector, I have founded Kwanda Kinetics in 2008. Currently,  our health care practitioners have 42 years combined hands-on experience in learning and neuro-motor difficulties, developmental delays, rehabilitative services, infant development and stimulation, neuro-motor and sport skill development as well as visual stimulation, visual-perceptual skills and reading.  We are currently 5 Kinderkineticists that are part of the Kwanda family.  Let us meet the other 4 health care practitioners who are impacting more than 1 500 children and their families on a weekly basis!

At Kwanda Kinetics, we are dedicated towards enabling families, schools and teachers when it comes to the neuro-motor development of children.  We also believe in the holistic outlook of a child's development and therefore our centre approaches learning and development from this point of view.

Our centre works in conjunction with numerous professionals including but not limited to nutritionists and dieticians, behavioural optometrists, physiotherapists, occupational therapists, rheumatologists, podiatrists, paediatricians and neurologists. We are also honored to have partnered with the University of Johannesburg to do more research about children's development.

We are passionate about what we do and believe that this is one of our callings in life – to love, cherish and develop the most precious thing in the Kingdom of God – children.  We now invite you to have a look at the rest of our website and see how our centre can assist you with regards to childhood development.  We are looking forward to connecting with you as we take this exciting journey on together!
